This is a place where you will find profiles for Extras. This means any NPC like character that no one owns, but is referred to or used often enough, will have a mini profile here. This is to help members know what the Extra is like when and if they interact with/use or if possible choose to adopt them. Not all Extras will be available for adoption, but we'll get to that in a moment...
Basically in order for an Extra to qualify as a Secondary Character, they need to be used or referred to frequently. They may also have a pivotal part in another character's life, but not be a real, member owned character. The random kid that walked past you at the bus stop wouldn't qualify as a Secondary Character, but the grouchy old principal at the primary school may qualify, as might the baby sister of your character. As long as the Extra plays an important enough part in Mactire Falls, they will qualify as a Secondary Character. A Secondary Character can be any race, aside from a hybrid (unless you have an irresistible reason!). This is due to hybrids being madly over powered and we don't want too many stomping around Mactire Falls.
Now back to adoption. Say you came here to read up on a few Extras and you stumble across an Extra that you instantly want to make as a character. They show so much potential and you really want that character. If they are available to be adopted (as you will be able to see within their profile), then can ask a staff member about being able to claim the character. If all is good and well and you make the character, they will be removed as a Secondary Character. No one else will be able to control them. The catch though, if you make the character, it needs to still fit into and relate with their mini profile you saw here. That means all the interactions they've had with other characters still happened. If they are related to specific characters (eg, someone's mother or someone's little brother), you need to make sure your history matches up with theirs. It can be a lot of work but also a very good way to make and use characters.
Be sure to find the mini profile template! Any member can make a mini profile for a Secondary Character, but just be aware that a staff member has the authority to determine whether or not the profile would qualify as a Secondary Character.
