PERSONALITY
Elliot is the classic case of a kid who couldn’t do anything but disappoint his family. As a result, he has learned from an early age to act as if he didn’t care, to prevent himself from feeling ashamed. Elliot does not easily let people in, as he is concerned that they might learn just how fragile he really is, not that he even realises he’s fragile. His facade consists of Elliot pushing people away from him with his jerk-like behaviour and apparent disregard for others. Really, it is just easier for Elliot to avoid disappointing others if they think he’s worthless.
Elliot does not have much self-confidence, not that he would admit that. It is hard for others to notice too, because Elliot’s facade does not give the impression that he is easy to humiliate or shame. Elliot has a very direct approach to most people and things and is often considered to be abrasive. On top of that, Elliot is generally described as fun-loving, carefree and reckless; not the poster boy of a wealthy family.
Deep down, Elliot does have a conscience and often he will feel worthless due to the decisions he has made, which is why he turns to alcohol, girls and petty crime to distract himself. He would like nothing more to make his family proud, but he knows that when they look at him, there is nothing to be proud of.

APPEARANCE
Elliot is often described as a mixture of ‘pretty’ and ‘handsome’ at the same time. While he has a boyish charm and imploring green eyes, he has a devious smirk and sharp, rugged facial features. Like his brother, Elliot takes after his father with his height and facial structure, but inherited his mother’s green eyes.
Elliot wears his light brown hair short and has styled it the same way since he was twelve years old; shorter at the back and sides, longer on top, gelled. Elliot also lets a short layer of stubble cover his cheek which lends to the overall bad-boy look that he cloaks himself in.
Despite his rather privileged upbringing, Elliot favours jeans, boots, tees and jackets as opposed to the nice, presentable chinos and dress shirts his father provides for Zayne. When one looks at Elliot, they rarely assume he comes from a wealthy family and Elliot prefers it that way.

HISTORY
Elliot is the eldest born son of the Walker family. When he was born, Elliot’s father thought that Elliot would follow in his footsteps by becoming a professional athlete or by entering into the family business. Elliot showed promise when it came to athletics, but he was not interested in doing the level of training his father wanted of him. Elliot became very accustomed to disappointing his father from an early age.
To make things worse, Zayne started showing his own level of promise. He was the perfect son. To say that Elliot was jealous was an understatement. The more Zayne succeeded, the more jealous Elliot became, but he could never bring it upon himself to hate his brother. Zayne -as thick as he was most of the time- was the only person who didn’t think Elliot was a disappointment. If anything, the prodigal son seemed to even look up to Elliot, which gave the older boy a sense of loyalty to his brother, not that he would ever admit it. Elliot very much wanted to hate Zayne, but he couldn’t do that to the only person who did not seem to think he was a waste of space.
Still, it was not easy for Elliot to watch his brother become the stay brother. When Zayne started Freshman year, Elliot was not prepared to have his little brother show him up. All his peers assumed Elliot was some street rat kid with low-life parents. They would not understand his situation, how he was really the child of a wealthy and successful, married couple. Because of that, Elliot dropped out of school before Zayne began to make a name for himself, which he did. Naturally, Elliot’s decision to leave school was the last straw with his father, so Elliot left home. He cut all ties with his family -even Zayne. He wanted them to be angry at him, because it was better than them being disappointed.
After Elliot left, he fell into some rough crowds to get himself by. It wasn’t easy, going from a home that provided him with stable meals, to living behind dumpsters or on park benches. It was rough to begin with, but Elliot found his feet. He made a living by stealing, selling drugs and lying. It did not take Elliot long to grow accustomed to his life. It was rough and at times quite hard, but it was what he felt he deserved.
When he got news of his mother’s accident, it was simply by chance. Elliot saw it in the newspaper and had to double check to make sure it was right. He had not realised his family had relocated all the way to Colorado and he had no idea why, but what he did understand, was that Zayne no longer had a brother or a mother. In a rare show of concern, Elliot packed his things and hitched a few rides into Mactire Falls. After two years on the streets, Elliot had made enough friends who knew people who could get him where he needed to go.
