Jace is a kind boy, though incredibly quiet. He will generally keep to himself and while he is not disliked, he does not have a strong group of friends. Jace is the type of kid that others will say hello to, but rarely would any of his peers choose to sit with him. Because of this, Jace will often roam around on his own, listening to music, or he will float from friend group to friend group and leave again before anyone considers him to be a pest.
Jace is reasonably smart, but also has well practised study skills, which helps him keep on top of his AP classes. While Jace enjoys company, he also enjoys his solitude and is perfectly happy staying home all weekend, playing his PC. When the situation demands it, Jace will attend social gatherings, but usually someone really has to convince him to go.
As a quiet boy, Jace at times falls victim to rumours about his sexuality. While Jace very much likes girls, he is too shy to talk to them. Whenever rumours start about him, Jace tries to keep his head down and waits for the comments to blow over. He is not a confrontational boy if he can avoid it.
:: HISTORY ::
As a small child, Jace was diagnosed with ADD. As he grew older and with the help of medication, Jace calmed down and nearly seemed withdrawn. It was a drastic change in personality, which worried his parents, but Jace's doctor assured them that it was perfectly normal; favoured even. Since then, Jace has stayed off the medication and feels better for it.
As an only child, Jace has never felt unloved by his parents, but at times wonders what it would be like to have a sibling. Otherwise, Jace has lived a pretty happy life, even if it is a quiet one.
Jace has grown up in Mactire Falls, since his parents moved there when he was only an infant. As a result, Jace is familiar with most of the local kids, even if they aren't 'friends'. When the Blake girls arrived though, Jace found himself developing a major crush on his biology lab partner, Jaime. Jace has never really had the courage to talk to her outside of class, but during their AP classes together will engage in conversation with her. He wouldn't be surprised if she didn't really notice him, considering her popularity with the rest of their peers, but he enjoys their interactions all the same.
