Mactire Falls - Site Upgrade

Hi all,

Just a heads up to say that I will be adjusting the layout of the boards over the coming days (maybe weeks). Any time I make a change, it will be added here. Please feel free to give suggestions and/or feedback. I am looking to get the place looking all sparkly and new, before I start advertising on other boards.

Change Log:

- Renamed the 'General' Board to 'Information and Reference'
- Created the 'Lore Book' Sub-board (Mactire Falls Guide)
- New Board 'Character Development' and moved all character creation sub-boards to this area.
- Deleted the 'Second-Hand' Character sub-board (in favour of Notable Extras)
- Deleted the 'Graphics' board.
- Moved the Out of Character Board below 'Character Creation'
- Created new RPG Categories: 'Mactire Falls', 'Mactire Outskirts and Surrounds' and 'Rest of the World'
- Deleted the Animal Shelter Sub-Board
- Moved 'Shadow Woods', 'Farm Plains', 'Cola River', 'Hidden Springs', 'Mactire Ruins' and 'Hallow Woods' to 'Mactire Outskirts and Surrounds'
- Created new board 'Alpine Lake' in 'Mactire Outskirts and Surrounds'.
- Created new sub-boards 'Residence', "Streets & Alleys', 'Shopping & Leisure', 'Night Life', 'Public Areas', 'Nature' and 'Education' to the 'Mactire Falls' Category.
- Created 'Residence' sub-boards (Outskirts, Blake Estate, The Neighbourhood, Apartments & Condos and Falls Hotel)
- Moved 'Mactire Park' and 'The Mactire Falls' to 'Nature'
- Deleted 'East Watch' category
- Moved threads in the 'Blake Estate'
- Deleted the old 'Blake Estate' boards
- Deleted 'North Hallow' category
- Deleted 'West Gate' category
- Moved threads from 'Mactire Falls Central' to 'Mactire Falls'
- Deleted 'Mactire Falls Central'
- Deleted category 'South Watch' and sub-boards 'Misty Forest' and 'Bush Huts'
- Created sub-boards 'Police Station', 'Library' and 'Train & Bus Depot' in 'Public Areas'
- Created 'Dive Bars & Dance Clubs' in 'Night Life'
- Updated/added main board images
- Updated the vampire lore and created its own thread in the 'lore book' board.



Intentions for the Future:

- Re-do the Species Lore - TO be displayed in the 'Lore Book'
- Re-do Character Application Forms

How about naming 'Nature' to 'Nature Reserve'? I Know thats only a small thing but it would fit the area more. But looks great so far!

Just touching base here to comment on what is happening at the moment.

I am currently chipping away at the lore for each species. Vampires are basically done, I have nearly finished traditional werewolves and then will be working on moderns next. There have been/will be only a few minor changes to the lore, however I am mostly just adding more details. Biggest change will be to Hybrids, which I am planning to focus on once I finish up the werewolves. Basically, we are adding a modified version of the hybrid, which is a turned hybrid. Currently, the lore suggests that they exist anyway, but the only hybrids we have on MF are born hybrids. Born hybrids will stay as they are and will still require approval to be made. However, turned hybrids are not invincible. They will be immortal, but like everything else (excluding born hybrids) they can be killed. There will be more details on how they are turned and how likely it would be for a werewolf to turn.

With the hybrid plot that has started at the moment, there will be opportunities for members with werewolves to have their character/s participate in the plot to become hybrids. Since turned hybrids are immortal but killable, they will be more easily accessible for future characters and members. That will lead into tweaking the character forms a bit.
